A new cook book is in the
making. Tri-County Electric will be
publishing a new cookbook. Many of you
remember the Tri-County EMC 60th Anniversary
Cookbook published in 2000. The new cookbook
, "Tri-County’s Best" will include recipes
which have been published in previous
newsletters dating back to the mid 80’s. We
also want to include some new recipes. Now
is the time to submit two or three of your
favorite recipes so you will be a part of
this memorable collection. Each recipe
selected will show the name and town of the
contributor.The
proceeds from the sell of the cookbook will
benefit the
Tri-County EMC Employee -Funded Scholarship
Program Over the past six year period,
employees have helped 218 students in Wayne,
Duplin and Lenoir counties with scholarships
totaling $ 97,250.00. Your recipe should fit
into one of the following
categories:Appetizers & Beverages,
Soups & Salads,
Vegetables & Side Dishes,
Main Dishes,
Bread & Rolls,
Desserts, Cakes & Pies,
Cookies & Candy,
This & That.
Please type or print clearly in ink.
If additional space is needed, please attach
another sheet of paper. Additional
copies of the form may be made or picked up
at the Tri-County EMC office in Dudley or by
mail upon request .Please submit all recipes
by May 23, 2008. Submit

INTRODUCE YOUR BUSINESS TO 21,000 MEMBERS Tri-County’s member newsletter is delievered each month to 21, 000 members in Wayne, Duplin, Lenoir, Johnston, Jones, Sampson, and Wilson counties. What a great opportunity to introduce your business to all these members for a small donation of $25 or more made to the Tri-County Employee-Funded Scholarship Program. If you are a member and own a business, or your business is served by Tri-County EMC, we will gladly introduce your business with a one-quarter page ad (see page 6) in this newsletter. Due to limited space, the business ads will be limited to four businesses per month. If you are interested in having your business introduced , contact Sue S. Beal, Manager of Communications and Public Relations at 800-548-4869 or 919-735-2611 for details. All donations will be used for scholarships. Tri-County reserves the right to refuse ads of questionable content. Ads will be published on a first come, first serve basis.
SURGEPROTECTION EQUIPMENT AVAILABLE - Tri-County EMC is now offering "PowerGuard" quality surge protection equipment for sale to our members. Special package offers are available through our co-op. OPERATION ROUND-UP - Tri-County EMC provides assistance to selected organizations and individuals who are in need and meet specific guideline requirements. Funding from this program comes from over 93% of our co-op members who allow their electric bills to be "rounded up" to the nearest whole dollar every month. Round-up has made substantial donations to every volunteer fire department throughout the Tri-County EMC service territory in Wayne, Duplin and Lenior counties. SCHOLARSHIPS - Don't forget Tri-County EMC offers scholarships for local high school students. Funding for the scholarships comes from employee sales of cookbooks, saluting businesses in the newsletter, sales of candy bars, raffle tickets and oother projects sponsored by the employees.
