Apply for Tri-County EMC’s Scholarships

Tri-County EMC deeply values the transformative power of education in shaping a brighter future for individuals and communities. We recognize the obstacles many students encounter on their journey to higher education after high school, which is why we proudly offer scholarships to deserving seniors within our service area.

Our scholarship program offers a range of opportunities. This year, we are excited to increase the financial assistance available to those pursuing a four-year degree. Graduating seniors pursuing a four-year degree will receive $750, while those pursuing a two-year degree will receive $250. Additionally, we recognize the unique circumstances of non-traditional students by offering a $400 scholarship.

This scholarship program is open to all graduating high school seniors who are dependents of cooperative member-owners or attend high schools within our service area, which includes Southern Wayne, Charles B. Aycock, Rosewood, Spring Creek, Eastern Wayne, Wayne School of Engineering, Wayne Early College, North Duplin, East Duplin, Duplin Early College, Lenoir Early College, James Kenan, North Lenoir, or South Lenoir High Schools. The scholarship funds can be utilized at a four-year or two-year college or university and a technical or trade school.

The selection of scholarship recipients will be based on a comprehensive evaluation of their applications, including letters of recommendation, academic performance, and evidence of community involvement.

Applications can be obtained from the guidance counselor's offices at the schools listed above or by visiting our website at www.tcemc.com. We encourage all interested students to apply by the deadline of March 31, 2025. Don’t miss your chance to invest in your future and take a significant step toward achieving your educational dreams!
