Tri-County EMC values the transformative power of education in shaping brighter futures for individuals and communities. We understand the challenges many students face on their journey to higher education after high school, which is why we proudly offer scholarships to deserving seniors in our service area.
Our scholarship program provides a variety of opportunities. Graduating seniors seeking a four-year degree will receive $750, while those pursuing a two-year degree will receive $250. Additionally, we recognize the unique circumstances of non-traditional students by offering a $500 scholarship.
This program is open to all graduating high school seniors who are dependents of cooperative member-owners or who attend high schools within our service area. The eligible high schools include Southern Wayne, Charles B. Aycock, Rosewood, Spring Creek, Eastern Wayne, Wayne School of Engineering, Wayne Early College, North Duplin, East Duplin, Duplin Early College, Lenoir Early College, James Kenan, North Lenoir, and South Lenoir High Schools. Funds can be used at four-year or two-year colleges, universities, and technical or trade schools.
The selection of scholarship recipients will be based on a comprehensive evaluation of their applications, including letters of recommendation, academic performance, and evidence of community involvement.
We encourage all interested students to apply by the March 31, 2026, deadline. Don’t miss your chance to invest in your future and make significant strides toward achieving your educational dreams!
