Tri-County EMC offers scholarship opportunities for students in our service area, including non-traditional students, who are eligible for a $400 scholarship. Graduating high school seniors planning to pursue a four-year degree will be awarded scholarships of $750, while those pursuing a two-year degree will receive $250. Applications can be obtained from the guidance counselor offices at the following high schools: Southern Wayne, Charles B. Aycock, Rosewood, Spring Creek, Eastern Wayne, Wayne School of Engineering, Wayne Early College, North Duplin, East Duplin, Duplin Early College, James Kenan, Lenoir Early College, North Lenoir, or South Lenoir. Sports Camp
Time is running out for rising sixth and seventh graders to apply for full scholarships to attend basketball camps at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and North Carolina State University this summer.
Tri-County EMC will award one young lady a scholarship to attend the Wolfpack Women’s Basketball Camp from June 15-18 in Raleigh, and one young man will have the opportunity to participate in the Carolina Basketball School from June 25-28 in Chapel Hill. These scholarships cover all expenses for the overnight camps, giving campers a glimpse of college campus life. Participants will stay overnight in college dorms, learn fundamental skills to help them excel on and off the court, and receive individual and group instruction from Division I coaches to enhance their basketball and teamwork abilities
To be eligible for the scholarship, students must be rising sixth or seventh graders. Applicants must also have permission from a parent or guardian to attend the sleep-away camp and, if selected, provide their own transportation to and from the camp.
