Tri-County EMC is excited to announce the opening of its Annual Meeting Bag Design Contest! We invite Pre-K-12 students to submit their creative designs for this year's meeting bags as we celebrate 86 years of providing electricity to our members.
This contest is not just about showcasing your artistic skills, it's also about having fun! It's a chance for students to create their own unique electricity-themed artwork and be part of our milestone anniversary annual meeting.
Contest Criteria
- Open to students grades Pre-K-12.
- Participants must live or attend a school within the Tri-County EMC service area.
- The design theme should be related to Tri-County EMC and must be your original, unpublished work.
- Please include your name, parent’s name, age, grade, school, address, and phone number with your submission.
Prizes and Recognition
After all submissions are received, the top ten finalist designs will be featured on Tri-County EMC's Facebook page. Our community will then have the opportunity to vote and help select the four winning designs.
The top four artists, as determined by votes from the Tri-County EMC Facebook community, will have their designs printed on thousands of our annual meeting bags, distributed at this year's Annual Meeting in November. Each of the four winners will receive a $100 cash prize, while non-finalist participants will receive a $25 cash prize. Winners will also be recognized in Carolina Country Magazine, on our website, and on Tri-County EMC’s Facebook page.
Key Dates and Details
- Contest Opens: April 1, 2026
- Submission Deadline: May 1, 2026 at 5:00 PM
- Facebook Voting: May 4-8, 2026. Finalist designs will be posted on Tri-County EMC's Facebook page for community voting; voting will end at 12:00 PM on May 8.
- Winners Announced: May 11, 2026
