Tri-County EMC Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament

The Tri-County EMC Scholarship Golf Tournament raised over $40,000 on May 11, 2023, for the scholarship program, which provides $25,000 annually to students in the communities we serve. The tournament brought local businesses, individuals, and cooperative employees to the Southern Wayne Country Club Golf Course with a simple mission: to play golf, have fun, and raise funds for a worthy cause.

“As a foundation, the scholarship program relies on the generosity of our supporters to help continue to provide scholastic opportunities to the students in the communities we serve not only in the present but also far into the future,” said Mike Davis, general manager.  “We are overwhelmed by the support of our employees, friends of the community, and partners that continue to make this tournament a success,” said Davis.

Morning players enjoyed Hardee's biscuits for breakfast, and both morning and afternoon players enjoyed a catered lunch from Sam Jones BBQ of Greenville. Tri-County EMC employees would like to thank this year’s individuals and companies who sponsored a hole or entered a team in the 12th Annual Tri-County Scholarship Golf Tournament and a special thank you to the following sponsors:
