Tri-County EMC proudly celebrated the accomplishments of 49 scholarship recipients during a floating awards ceremony on May 6, 2025, at the cooperative’s corporate office in Dudley, North Carolina. In total, $31,900 was awarded to support students pursuing higher education.
The scholarship recipients were carefully selected by a dedicated committee based on leadership, academic achievement, and community involvement. This year’s awards included:
- 38 students received $750 each toward a four-year college or university,
- 10 students received $250 each to support their community college education,
- 1 non-traditional student received $400 to assist in earning a master’s degree.
Mike Davis, General Manager of Tri-County EMC, shared his pride in the cooperative’s ongoing commitment to youth and education:
“This program is about more than financial assistance—it’s an investment in our community’s future. We’re proud to support the dreams of these remarkable students.”
Since its founding in 2001, the Tri-County EMC Scholarship Foundation has awarded $552,250 to local students, reaffirming the cooperative’s mission of giving back and making a lasting impact in the lives of its members.
Congratulations to the 2025 Tri-County EMC Scholarship Foundation Recipients!
