Tri-County EMC General Manager Receives Governor’s Volunteer Service Award

Mike Davis, General Manager of Tri-County EMC, received the 2024 Governor’s Volunteer Service Award on December 17, 2024, in recognition of his commitment to the Ronald McDonald House in Pitt County.

This prestigious award honors individuals who have made significant contributions to their communities through dedicated volunteer work. Davis has been a devoted volunteer and board member for the Ronald McDonald House for over 20 years, providing support to families in need. His involvement has not only helped raise substantial funds—over $50,000 to date—but has also brought attention to the mission of the Ronald McDonald House within the community.

Through his efforts, he has successfully engaged local residents, businesses, and organizations, raising awareness about the critical services offered to families with children receiving medical care. Over his tenure, Davis has actively participated in more than 100 fundraising events. His passion for service extends beyond Pitt County; he has also dedicated his time and resources to various organizations in Wayne and Lenoir counties. Currently, he serves on the Board of Directors and Development Council of 3HC and the Board of Directors for the Goldsboro Family YMCA.

Congratulations, Mike, on receiving this honor. It is a true reflection of your tireless efforts and the difference you have made in your community.
