On May 22, 2025, Tri-County EMC hosted its 14th Annual Scholarship Foundation Golf Tournament at the Southern Wayne Country Club Golf Course. The event raised an impressive $43,000—demonstrating the tremendous community support behind Tri-County EMC’s commitment to empowering the next generation through education.
Each year, the scholarship program awards $30,000 in financial assistance to deserving students within the cooperative's service area. These funds help ease the burden of higher education expenses and open doors to brighter futures for local youth.
The tournament was more than a fundraiser—it was a celebration of community spirit, camaraderie, and purpose. Local businesses, individuals, and Tri-County EMC employees came together for a day of golf and good cheer, all united in a shared mission to support education.
“The success of our scholarship program is a direct result of the generosity and support of our sponsors and participants,” said Mike Davis, Tri-County EMC General Manager. “We are deeply grateful to our employees, friends of the community, and partners who have made this tournament a resounding success.”
The day began with Hardee’s biscuits for breakfast, followed by a delicious lunch catered by McCall’s BBQ, served to both morning and afternoon participants. From tee-off to the final putt, the day was filled with fun, fellowship, and fundraising.
Tri-County EMC extends sincere thanks to every individual and company who sponsored a hole, entered a team, or supported the event in any way. A special shout-out goes to the tournament’s valued sponsors, whose dedication makes the scholarship program possible year after year.
