The Tri-County EMC Scholarship Foundation hosted its annual Golf Tournament on Thursday, June 4, at Southern Wayne Country Club, bringing together community partners, local businesses, cooperative members, and supporters for a day of fellowship, friendly competition, and giving back.
The tournament served as a major fundraiser for the Tri-County EMC Scholarship Foundation, which provides educational scholarships to deserving students throughout the cooperative's service area. Thanks to the generous support of sponsors, players, volunteers, and donors, the event was a tremendous success and will help continue the Foundation's mission of investing in the future of local youth.
"We are incredibly grateful for the overwhelming support shown by our sponsors, golfers, and volunteers," said Mike Davis, Tri-County EMC General Manager. "This tournament is about much more than golf—it's about creating opportunities for students to pursue their educational goals and build brighter futures."
The event featured both morning and afternoon flights, with 50 teams participating throughout the day. Golfers enjoyed Hardee's biscuits for breakfast and a barbecue lunch catered by McCall's BBQ, which was served to participants in both flights.
The employees of Tri-County EMC would like to thank those sponsors whose generosity made the event possible. We invite community members and local business to participate in future events and help us continue supporting students and families in our service area.
